Frequently asked questions about D3bris

Short, honest answers about checks, alerts, pricing and the limits of D3bris.

What exactly does D3bris check?

Every 5 minutes we request each page you added and check whether it answers within 10 seconds with a successful HTTP status, whether the TLS certificate is valid and matches the domain and – if you set one – whether an expected text is in the HTML. We warn you 14 days before a certificate expires.

Do I need to install anything on client websites?

No. D3bris checks from the outside, the way a visitor requests the page. There is no plugin and no code that has to run on the website, so it works with any CMS and any host.

What counts as one website?

One domain with up to three checked pages, for example www.client.com with its homepage, /contact and /booking. Subdomains such as shop.client.com count as separate websites.

How quickly will I hear about an outage?

We check every 5 minutes. If a check fails, we check again one minute later; only the second failure counts as an outage. So the email usually arrives a few minutes after the problem starts. Outages shorter than one check interval can go unnoticed.

How am I notified?

By email to the addresses on your account, in English or German. Each incident sends one email when it starts and one when it is resolved, both with the cause and a link to the details. There are no SMS, phone or Slack alerts at the moment.

Does D3bris test contact forms or the checkout?

No. We check that the form or shop page is reachable and – if you set it – that a specific text appears on it. We don’t submit forms or add items to a cart, so we can’t tell whether a form actually sends emails.

Does it work with pages that rely heavily on JavaScript?

Availability and the certificate are always checked. The expected text, however, must be in the HTML the server delivers. We can’t see content that is only created in the browser by JavaScript.

How does the trial work?

For 14 days you can monitor up to 10 websites for free, without payment details. After that, monitoring pauses automatically until you choose a plan. Nothing is charged and there is nothing to cancel.

How do I cancel?

The subscription runs monthly. You cancel yourself at any time in the app under “Manage subscription”, effective at the end of the paid month. Your data is kept until then.

Are there reports or status pages for my clients?

Not at the moment. D3bris is a tool for your agency: you see the state and incident history of all client websites and decide yourself how to inform your clients.

Where is the data processed?

D3bris runs on Hetzner servers in a data centre in the EU. We store your account and website details and the check results; check details are deleted after 30 days. Payments are handled by Stripe. Details are in the privacy policy.

Who is behind D3bris?

D3bris is a small, independent product of a sole proprietorship based in Sweden, for businesses only. The provider’s name, address and contact details are in the imprint.
